- Upon your arrival at New Delhi airport, you’ll be greeted by our crew and transferred to your hotel. Take the day to acclimate and feel the incredible energy of India’s capital city. We will gather in the evening for a group briefing to prepare for the adventure ahead.
- Ride distance: 90 km
- We begin our journey north aboard the modern Shatabdi Express train to Chandigarh where you’ll meet your Royal Enfield motorcycle for the first time. After a traditional pooja ceremony for a safe journey, our adventure truly begins. Your first 90km ride is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with your machine as we cruise to our first night’s halt in Baddi.

- Today is a day of deep cultural immersion, beginning with a visit to Anandpur Sahib, one of the most sacred sites for the Sikh faith. You’ll then explore the stunning Virasat-e-Khalsa museum. Afterward, the ride continues, taking us deeper into the mountains as we make our way to the ancient trading town of Mandi for the night.

- The adventure intensifies as you ride the thrilling mountain twisties up to Manali, a lively town nestled in the stunning Kullu Valley. After the day’s rewarding ride, you can explore the charming streets of Old Manali, enjoy the vibrant café scene, or simply relax and soak in the fresh mountain air.

- A day of rest and acclimatization in Manali is essential before we ascend to the high passes. This is your final day in the lush, green part of the Himalayas before we venture into the high-altitude desert.

- An early start takes you through the 9km-long Atal Tunnel, instantly transporting you into a different world where the scenery shifts dramatically from green valleys to the stark beauty of the upper Himalayas. The day’s challenge includes navigating icy-cold glacial melts before you conquer the mighty 4900m Baralacha La pass, concluding at our comfortable tented camp in Sarchu.

- An epic day of high-altitude passes and otherworldly landscapes. The morning begins with conquering the 21 hairpin bends of the Gata Loops, followed by the breathtaking heights of NakeeLa Pass and Lachulung La Pass. We then tackle the formidable Tanglang La before a scenic descent into the historic city of Leh.

- A well-deserved rest day to explore the fascinating capital of Ladakh and acclimatize to the 3500m altitude. Leh is a captivating mix of Ladakhi and Tibetan culture, with ancient markets and a timeless feel.

- We ride east towards the remote and beautiful village of Hanle, a journey into one of the most secluded corners of Ladakh. Hanle is world-renowned for its incredibly clear night skies, making it a paradise for stargazing.

A typical day starts after breakfast with a morning briefing. We aim to be on the road by 8:30 AM. The daily distance varies, from shorter cultural days of around 90-105 km to epic high-altitude rides of up to 260 km. We take regular breaks for photos, refreshments, and lunch, and we typically arrive at our destination in the late afternoon, leaving you time to relax and explore before dinner.
You will experience a wide variety of road conditions that showcase the diversity of the Himalayas. The journey includes smooth tarmac on the plains and foothills, but as we ascend, you will encounter sections of gravel, broken tarmac, and unpaved roads, especially over the high mountain passes. The ride also includes challenging sections like the 21 hairpin bends of the Gata Loops and several water crossings from glacial melts.
Absolutely. We welcome pillion riders to join the adventure. We have specific pricing available for a pillion rider sharing a motorcycle with a primary rider. It’s a fantastic way for couples or friends to experience the Himalayas together.
Accommodation is provided in a mix of comfortable hotels and premium tented camps. All accommodation is on a twin-sharing basis. If you prefer your own space, a single-room supplement is available for an additional charge.
Our tented camps, like the one in the remote outpost of Sarchu, are a highlight of the high-altitude experience. These are not basic camping tents; they are large, comfortable canvas tents, usually equipped with proper beds, mattresses, and warm bedding. They offer a comfortable and memorable way to stay in areas where hotel infrastructure is unavailable
Daily breakfast and dinner are included in the tour price. We ensure meals are hygienic and wholesome. Lunches are generally not included to give you the freedom to explore local cuisines and cafes at your own pace. On rest days in Manali and Leh, dinner is also not included, allowing you to fully explore the diverse local restaurant scenes. We also provide complimentary tea, coffee, and water during our scheduled ride stops.

Your health and safety are our top priority. Our itinerary is carefully designed to allow for gradual acclimatization. We include a crucial rest day in Manali before we ascend to the high passes and another rest day in Leh at 3500m to help you adjust. Our guides are experienced in monitoring for symptoms of altitude sickness, and we carry a first-aid kit and an oxygen cylinder for emergencies.
You are fully supported throughout the entire journey. The group is led by an experienced Lead Rider who knows the route intimately. A skilled Royal Enfield mechanic accompanies us to handle any technical issues. Furthermore, a support vehicle follows the group to carry your luggage, spare parts, and other supplies.
Riding in the Himalayas is a true adventure, but it also comes with inherent risks. We require all riders to have comprehensive insurance to ensure you are covered for any medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or other unforeseen circumstances. You will need a valid passport with at least six months of validity, a valid visa for India, and your motorcycle driver’s license along with an International Driving Permit (IDP). We recommend carrying both digital and physical copies of these documents.
While personal riding gear is not included, we can provide a detailed recommended packing list upon booking. Key items include a high-quality helmet, armoured riding jacket, riding pants, gloves, and sturdy boots. You should also pack clothing that can be worn in layers, as temperatures can vary significantly from the plains to the high passes.
