Day 1
0 km
Arrival in Delhi
Delhi- A warm welcome at New Delhi airport by one of our crew followed by a cab ride through the colourful hustle and bustle of our capital city. The capital will bombard your senses with flavours, sights, sounds and overwhelming emotions, almost as if it were a living entity! A reliable money exchanger is also available at the hotel at times that are suitable for the group.
Day 2
Ride Distance: 90 km
Delhi – Chandigarh (train): 260km
We begin our travel on the Shatabdi Express Train connecting Delhi to Chandigarh, which is popular as the first planned city in India. After the 3+ hour train ride, we are greeted by the sweltering heat and our friendly crew and of course the Royal Enfield Motorcycles! Our ride begins after a friendly pooja (prayer) for the well-being of the whole journey. We ride some 90km to an eco-luxury nature resort in Northern Punjab situated by the banks of river Satluj. This introductory ride gives you a great opportunity to get a feel of your motorcycle, the gears, brakes and clutch, the power/torque and overtaking ability.

Anandpur Sahib – Mandi
We start day three by a visit to one of the oldest Sikh Temples, Anandpur Sahib. This Gurudwara is one of the most important sacred sites of the Sikhs. After the gurdwara we visit the Virasat-e-Khalsa museum which celebrates 500 years of Sikh history and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Khalsa, based on the scriptures written by the tenth and last human guru, Guru Gobind Singh. After the museum, we shall set out towards Mandi where we stop for the night.

Mandi-Manali
This is where the real fun begins! We ride the involving twisties up to Manali. Among other interests en route are the Pandoh Dam and the Aut Tunnel. It is a long day, and you are rewarded by the superb hospitality of Manali ! You could check out the Main Bazaar, Manu Temple and the quaint and charming town of Old Manali. The place is dotted with many cafes and eateries, various cuisines, hippies caught in a bubble, hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists… a travellers melting pot!

We take a rest day to check out the Main Bazaar, Manu Temple and the quaint and charming town of Old Manali. The place is dotted with many cafes and eateries, various cuisines, hippies caught in a bubble, hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists… a travellers melting pot!
Day 6

Manali – Sarchu
The true adventure begins here. We have an early start to beat the landslides, muddy roadblocks, overflowing nullahs (road rivers) and high-altitude traffic jams. We take the 9 km long tunnel which transfers us into a different world.
Today, you will feel like you’re in the upper Himalayas. Icy-cold glacial melts, broken bridges, turquoise-coloured lakes and the 4900m Baralacha La are some of the elements we encounter today! Our destination is situated at the boundary between the states of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (Bharatpur Dhaba) & Dinner Stay: Luxury Tents, Goldrop Camp Sarachu.
Day 7

Sarchu - Leh
Being the longest day of our tour, we have an early start. But time will fly with the mesmerising beauty of the landscape that we are to witness today! Climb up the 21 steep Gata Loop hairpins followed by this we reach the NakeeLa pass at 4700m and the Lachulung La pass at an altitude of 5079m. After this, we will stop for a meal at Pang which looks like it’s out of a Star Wars set. And if that’s not enough, we climb up the daunting Tanglang La, only the third highest pass in the world at 5300m above sea level! The infinite view on both sides of this pass is beyond words. You’ll understand when you get there! We descend along the Indus river to the humble height of Leh city at 3500m at the end of the day.
Day 8

Rest Day
Leh is a mixture of Ladakhis, Kashmiris, Trekkers, Motorcyclists, Hippies, Seekers and Tibetan Monks alike. Its age-old markets and weather-beaten faces graciously take you back in time. It is dotted with open-air cafes serving world cuisine to keep you satiated on your day of rest!
Meals: Breakfast. Group members will be on their own for Lunch and Dinner.
Day 9

Leh - Hanle
We depart from Leh towards the remote village of Hanle, situated in the eastern part of Ladakh. Hanle offers a serene escape, known for its tranquil atmosphere and clear night skies, ideal for stargazing. En route, we pass through breathtaking landscapes, crossing high-altitude passes and barren valleys, immersing ourselves in the raw beauty of Ladakh. Upon arrival in Hanle, we settle into our accommodations and explore the village, visiting the Hanle Monastery and soaking in the peaceful ambiance of this remote Himalayan outpost.

Hanle - UmlingLa - Hanle
Today, we embark on an adventurous journey to Umling La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, located at an elevation of over 19,000 feet. The rugged terrain and challenging roads make this ride exhilarating yet demanding, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After reaching the summit of Umling La and relishing the breathtaking vistas, we make our way back to Hanle, retracing our path through the mesmerising Ladakhi landscape.
Day 11

Hanle -Leh
Our return journey to Leh begins, allowing us to bid farewell to the tranquil beauty of Hanle. As we traverse the rugged terrain and high-altitude passes once again, we reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories created during our time in this remote corner of Ladakh. Upon reaching Leh, we have the opportunity to revisit favorite spots, indulge in local cuisine, and reminisce about the remarkable journey we’ve undertaken through the Roof of the World.

Our tour comes to an end , We take a morning flight from Leh to Delhi where we bid our final farewell.
