Pick up on arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi followed by an official welcome and a visit to the famous India Gate.
Next morning, we take a short trip by SUV to the Hotel in Chandigarh.
A briefing by the tour leader and familiarization with the bikes and the terrain. Gear on, bikes revved we head towards the Hill Station, Shimla.
We ride through Saharan, the gate way to Kinnaur which is known for its lush green valleys and cold desert mountains. We end the day with a visit to the Bhimakali Temple.
Head to Chitkul through the beautiful Sangla valley surrounded by thick forests and rushing waters.
We take the road towards Kalpa, situated at the height of 2758 m above the sea level and 110 km from Sarahan, Kalpa is the main village of Kinnaur. Experience the spectacular sights across the Kailash Mountain range early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and golden light.
An amazing change of scenery awaits you on this leg of the trip, as we ride through the rugged magnificence of the wintry desert. On the way, we visit the old temples.
Tabo to Mud Village Steeped in historical and present-day Buddhist Tibetan culture.
Gear up for the ride to Kaza, capital and regional headquarters of Spiti valley. Freckled with green over a dry, weather-beaten face, Spiti is characterized by stark beauty, narrow valleys, and high mountains.
From Kaza, we’ll start riding to Kibber, the highest village of Asia. A visit to “Key Monastery”, the largest monastery and most colorful in Spiti Valley. We break at Langza village to climb the large Buddha statue overlooking Spiti valley. We ride to Komic where, if lucky, one can spot fossils near the streams flowing from the mountains
We head towards one of the most serene water bodies in the world, Chandratal Lake or “Moon Lake” is a breathtaking place situated at a height of 4300 m. The mesmerizing lake, mimics the colors of the sky and will surely take your breath away.
We ride through the valleys dotted with colorful Buddhist flags towards Keylong. Situated at an altitude of 3440 m, Keylong is the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh and the most populated place of that region. It lush greenery makes it stand out as oasis in the rugged mountains
As we enter pure Himalayan wilderness we’ll ride on a precarious zigzag pass that lies in the shadow of a hanging glacier for a proper sense of adventure. We start our descent to the green fields of Sarchu plateau and finally reach Pang, and useful halt on Manali Leh highway. Here we set up camp together before sleeping among the clouds, at an altitude of 4500m!
From Sarchu, we ride towards Leh. The ride meanders through the cliffs as we start our descent on the ‘More Plains’, a long, wide and straight road. Flanked by breathtaking mountains on both sides, this area is a major attraction to the Bikers heading towards Leh from Manali.
We take a short break from the long ride to explore some of Ladakh’s beautiful sights. Leh is truly a melting pot of cultures and you can easily lose yourself in the charming narrow streets, and the hospitable local people as you go out and explore the small craft shops and markets.
We will start early in the morning to ride towards Leh by crossing Changla (5360m) 3rd highest pass of Indian Himalayan Ride
Having witnessed the beauty of Nubra, we continue our route in direction of Panamik. We will start in the early morning to ride to Pangong Lake. We will stay there for one night, camping under the starry sky by one of the most famous landscapes in the world.
From Leh, we ride on the fabulous Nubra Valley. On the road, we will traverse the Khardung La pass. Standing at 5602 m, the world’s highest motor able pass is surely a highlight of the trip. We stop at the Diskit Monastery famous for its towering statue of Maitreya Buddha, go swimming in the Nubra River, followed by an enthralling camel back safari.We head towards one of the most serene water bodies in the world, Chandratal Lake or “Moon Lake” is a breathtaking place situated at a height of 4300 m. After breakfast, flight back to New Delhi is arranged as our expedition of a lifetime comes to an end.
